Jesus is coming back! How this affects you today?

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. (‭II Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭13-15‬ NKJV)

Paul has just elaborating on end time events! Which was enough to I still fear in any heart! But this was not his intention. The intent was to raise their attention to the return of Christ & have in the foremost part of their thinking!

When we think about the coming of the Lord, it should make a strong impact in our lives.
It should affect the way we live, the way we think, the way we carry on in our relationships, and the way we invest our money into the Kingdom of God.

It is simply a fact that Jesus is coming for His Church, and we should constantly live in the light of His coming.

When we live with the awareness that Jesus is coming again, it changes our conduct and behavior.

So when is He coming?? I don't know but I know it is soon! Meanwhile listen to words of Peter!

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (‭II Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭8-9‬ NKJV)

It may be sooner then you think!

Paul is communicating to his readers that they have a responsibility to respond to his message about Jesus’ soon return. They are to live in a godly, upright, and holy manner as they wait for “the coming of our Lord.”

3 things to remember!
1. We always have his coming at the foremost of our thinking.
2. This creates the need to live & righteous lives!
3. There is an urgency in evangelism...tell somebody!
